Cultivating Political Leadership in Muslim Women, Now!

When I was a child in my local mosque, I learned some well-intentioned but completely misguided pieces of information about Islam. I grew up with a mixed concoction of cultural beliefs steering the application of Islam. In one instance, I was told that women do not  publicly speak about Islam after asking my Quran teacher about what to say about the five pillars of Islam for my 6th grade class presentation.
