Spring 2016 Communications and Development Internship

Who We Are
Emerge America is a candidate training program for Democratic women. The essential step for Democratic women who want to run for public office—Emerge is the only in-depth, seven-month training program that inspires women to run and gives them the tools to win. Currently operating in fourteen states, our mission is to increase the number of Democratic women in all levels of public office. 52% of our alumnae run for office or are appointed; 70% of the women who’ve run, have won. We are seeking a self-motivated intern(s) to play an integral role with fundraising, event planning and communications. This internship is unpaid, but Emerge America will cover the cost of travel and lunch on your days in the office.
This position will require a commitment of 10 to 15 hours each week (at least one full day in the office, preferably two). Dates/hours can be flexible to accommodate a class schedule and we are happy to work with your school to help you earn college credit.
