Currently, there are only six Democratic women Attorneys General in the U.S., including Maura Healey (MA) and Ellen Rosenblum (OR). Together, Attorneys General Healey and Rosenblum co-chaired the Democratic Attorneys General Association’s launch of the 1881 Initiative. The initiative’s goal is to elect women to half of all Democratic state Attorney General seats by the end of 2022. Our speakers will discuss the importance of equal representation, their work standing up against the Trump administration, and how they protect and serve their constituents as women AGs amidst a pandemic.
