Danica was born and raised in Manassas. When she was young, her grandfather told her “The basis of my knowledge comes from reading the newspaper every day.” This quote would later influence her to pursue a degree in journalism at St. Bonaventure University. A month after graduating, Danica began reporting for the Gainesville Times, a local newspaper that allowed her to report on the people of her community. As a reporter, she was responsible for listening to the community and to know enough about the issues to hold elected officials accountable.
After 10 years of reporting and writing numerous stories, Danica left her job at the newspaper and decided to run for office. She is motivated to win a seat in the General Assembly to improve the quality of life of District 13.
Danica is committed to improving the traffic flow, finding a way to incentive business growth in Manassas and funding more educational initiatives. In addition, she wants to champion inclusive social policies to make sure that her community welcomes folks of all different backgrounds.
