In March of this year, the governor appointed Sarah Godlewski as the 29th Secretary of State of Wisconsin. She is only the 3rd woman to hold the position. On Wednesday, November 15th Secretary Godlewski is being recognized as Emerge Wisconsin’s Woman of the Year.
Emerge is a nation-wide organization that recruits and trains Democratic women to run for office. Ahead of that celebration, Emerge Wisconsin’s Executive Director Arvina Martin and Secretary Sarah Godlewski join host Ali Muldrow to talk about the importance of women in politics, gender specific challenges, and power of community support.
