This historic weekend marked the inauguration of our great president and celebrated the accomplishments of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. As we cheered and celebrated, we were reminded of the struggles of leaders that came before us and the need for humility, strength and inner peace. Emerge California continues Dr. King’s legacy of inclusion, equality and opportunities for women. We’ve come so far and have so much more to achieve. Our voice is stronger when we come together. Let’s remember President Obama’s speech, “My fellow Americans, we are made for this moment, and we will seize it – so long as we seize it together.”
