#LeadersMatter Virtual Salon: When Home is Not Safe

June 26, 2020 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Representative Herod is the first LGBTQ African American to serve in Colorado’s General Assembly. District Attorney Rollins is the first woman to be elected to the position in Suffolk County and the first woman of color to serve as DA in Massachusetts. They are trailblazers, and since taking office, they have championed meaningful criminal justice reform, especially for those who are most vulnerable. Domestic violence is on the rise due to shelter-in-place orders enacted across the country. Our speakers will discuss what they are doing to protect and support victims of domestic abuse, as well as ways in which they are keeping their communities safe during this pandemic.

The #LeadersMatter virtual salon series is an event benefit of the Emerge Leadership Circle. The Leadership Circle is a core group of supporters who give $1,000 or more each year to support Emerge’s ongoing work. Leadership Circle members receive all-access to the complete #LeadersMatter virtual salon series including one guest pass.

Individual tickets for each salon are also available to purchase for non-Leadership Circle members at $100.
