Always actively seeking ways to improve her community’s health care and quality of life, she has organized TedX events and served on a number of non-profit boards of directors. As a Congressman, Dr. Tipirneni hopes to reach side by side and across the aisle in order to pass legislation that will not only benefit Arizona but the rest of the country.
Hiral Tipirneni came to America with her family when she was three-years old. Her parents wanted to be part of the American dream: where if you worked hard and lived by the rules of democracy, you could be successful no matter where you came from.
Hiral earned her medical degree through an accelerated and competitive program at Northeast Ohio Medical University. After losing her mother and nephew to cancer, Hiral directed her passion and skills to evaluating and directing funding for cancer research. She leads a team of researchers, clinicians and patient advocates in the fight to treat and cure breast cancer, prostate cancer and childhood leukemia.
Hiral is running on a platform to expand Medicare, simplify the federal tax code, provide workforce training programs, ensure affordable childcare and protect benefits for retirees and veterans. She also wishes to invest in public schools, increase the affordability of higher education, increase government transparency, secure borders and provide a path to citizenship, address gun violence as a public health issue and support women’s reproductive rights.
