Anne Wakabayashi is the Executive Director of Emerge Pennsylvania and has spent her career working on political campaigns at the state and local level across Pennsylvania. Anne has worked for a number of organizations, working at the Pennsylvania Senate Democratic Campaign Committee (SDCC) for two election cycles. At the SDCC, Anne served as the Political and Communications Director respectively, developing broad and deep statewide relationships.
In 2013, Anne led the fundraising efforts for Equality Pennsylvania, a statewide LGBT advocacy group. In 2015, she also ran Anne Lazarus’ campaign for the Pennsylvania Supreme Court as well as Allan Domb’s race for Philadelphia City Council. Anne also serves on the board of the Liberty City Democratic Club, Philadelphia’s LGBT political organization. She is a graduate of Juniata College in Central Pennsylvania and currently resides in Philadelphia.
