Why is your work at Emerge important?
My work at Emerge is important because I am able to support the spread of Emerge values, get more Democratic women in office. It really is incredibly rewarding to reach out and share with others about the work that we are doing and what we have accomplished. The operations of the Development team are incredibly important to the work we do, and so I am very proud that I have been able to work with the team to accomplish what we have.
Who in politics inspires you?
I am inspired not necessarily by one particular individual, but rather by all younger Asian-American women who have run – and served in office at all levels of the government. As someone from an immigrant household, getting into politics itself came with many hurdles, and so the AAPI women who have been able to break into politics have always, and continue to inspire me to get more involved.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy baking (and eating!) delicious pastries, spending time with my friends, and exploring the museums that DC has to offer! In particular the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History and the National Museum of Asian Art are my favorites.
