Cecilia graduated from George Washington University in 2023 with a B.A. in International Affairs. At GW, she began to delve deeper into her interest in the history of women in society and politics, from Classical Antiquity to 21st century America and South Korea. During her senior year, she completed an independent study on dispersed family reunification policy on the Korean peninsula, alongside research on the feminist and anti-feminist movements in South Korea and their impact on politics, the role of women in North Korean society, and the impact of traditional gender roles on American cities.
Before joining Emerge, Cecilia was largely involved in language and culture learning and education. As a tutor, student, editor, translator, and advocate for increased cultural exchange, she is passionate about increasing representation and diversity. As such, at Emerge, she strives to assist in the efforts for better representation of the diverse communities in America at all levels of office.
On her days off, she enjoys baking, playing violin, and going on long walks.
