Read moreRashmi Yadav Marya is a board member, trustee, and volunteer for local and national organizations focused on gender equity and diversity, equity and inclusion work in education. She is currently Board Chair of Emerge, a national organization changing the face of politics by increasing the number of Democratic women in public office through recruitment, training, and providing a powerful network. Rashmi is also a trustee at Marin Country Day School, leading diversity, equity, and inclusion for the board, and works more broadly across independent schools providing strategies to trustees and administration to advance equity and inclusion.
Rashmi began her career with Eli Lilly & Company in their Neuroscience division. Over her 13 years there, she worked in a variety of roles in South Africa, the United States, and Europe focused on clinical trial development and research collaborations with universities. While in South Africa, she served on the affiliate’s Diversity Committee shortly after apartheid and worked on the development and implementation of HIV policies and employment equity policies in collaboration with the South African government. Most recently, she was a Medical Liaison in the area of pain medicine and neurology in the Bay Area, where she cultivated and leveraged relationships with world renowned thought leaders, facilitated advisory boards, and presented at scientific meetings.
Rashmi is a Fulbright Scholar and holds a Master of Philosophy degree in Neuroscience Research from the University of Cambridge, King’s College.
