To make her vision a reality, Danielle has focused her career on a holistic approach to advocacy, communications, and community engagement in support of historically marginalized and underserved urban and rural communities.
Danielle’s diverse and extensive expertise as a strategist has been cultivated in the public and nonprofit sectors in California and Oregon. She led the statewide communications and engagement strategy for Oregon’s largest ever public investment in early childhood programs and services. As a congressional caseworker for Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, Danielle started the first summer internship program for low-income high school students in the Speaker’s office.
Danielle is the principal of DP Cogan Consulting, a firm specializing in helping organizations solve problems, tell their stories, and make lasting connections with people in their communities.
