Read moreCora Fesler is a fierce advocate for public policy centered around economic, racial, and gender justice, and steps into her role as Development Coordinator at Emerge with the goal of fighting for women’s rights and representation. As a first-generation college graduate and daughter of a low-income single mother, she is determined to empower other women to become agents of change in their communities and make sure that every person is granted a real voice in the policies which touch their lives.
Cora recently graduated from UC Berkeley in Spring 2021 with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Human Geography. While at Berkeley, she served as Executive Assistant to the Campaign Manager on Gavin Newsom’s campaign for governor of California, as a Legislative Intern in Senator Feinstein’s Washington D.C. office, and as Alumni and Employer Outreach Director of Cal in the Capital, a professional internship program run through the university’s Public Service Center. In her free time, Cora can be found exploring regional parks in the Bay Area, singing with friends from her college a cappella group, and obsessing over her growing indoor plant collection.
