Ashley McCurry

Ashley signed up for the Emerge Maine program in 2010 directly after college with a goal to work on Democratic campaigns. She’d spent her high school and college years involved in student government and advocacy work and wanted to make it a career.

Ashley comes to the Executive Director position at Emerge Maine after almost a decade of political leadership and fundraising experience. She worked as Finance Director for the Maine Democratic Party, Deputy Finance Director for the Mike Michaud for Governor Campaign, Deputy Finance Director of the Maine Democratic Party and has worked in higher education fundraising. In addition to fundraising work, she’s been involved in leadership roles for various organizations in political and non profit work and on local House races and ballot initiatives. She also served on Emerge Maine’s Development and Executive Committees. In the last year, she’s worked in consulting roles in strategic communications, fundraising and organizational transitions. She is also a returning trainer to the Emerge Maine program. Ashley lives with her saint-of-a-wife Justine and their beautiful daughter (Democratically named “Kennedy” for future Congressional lawn signs), two dogs and a cat in Portland.
