Are you passionate about working in the political space to help get Democratic women elected and appointed to all levels of office?
Emerge is seeking a Communications Intern to support efforts of recruiting and training women to run for office. This individual will help with research, writing, social media, website updates, and other press and media projects. The Communications Intern will support the team with administrative tasks as needed.
The Communications Internship position is an hourly position capped at 20 hours per week and reports to the Communications Director. The position can be based anywhere in the United States.

Since 2002, Emerge has trained 5,000 Democratic women to run for office and there are more than 1,100 Emerge alums currently in elected office.

The ideal candidate will be attentive to detail, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be open to learning. While experience in a similar role in the political or advocacy sector is not required, a commitment to the advancement of Democratic women in politics is.

The salary for this position is $17.00 per hour for a max of 20 hours per week. The position will be a short-term role for 13 weeks.
