Read moreJennifer O’Mara’s background in education and community service developed her leadership capabilities to serve in the Pennsylvania State House. Serving as a counselor for state-wide programs such as PASC’s Summer Camp Program and the Springfield Democratic Committee, she is known as an advocate for veterans affairs, child programs and community development. Her husband, Brad Bitting, is a combat veteran and two-time Purple Heart recipient.
As the daughter of a single mother and sister to her two brothers, Jennifer had to use financial aid programs, student loans and work three part-time jobs to afford a college education. Jennifer eventually graduated with a dual degree in History and Secondary Education from West Chester University and became certified to teach in Pennsylvania. She went on to earn a Master’s Degree in English and History from the University of Pennsylvania where she has worked for nearly six years.
